Friday, July 8, 2016 - Kenosha, WI to Appleton, WI

Awww...Someone had drawn hearts in pen on the (yes-they-were-clean) sheets!

Boot cleaner by the hotel door

Say CHEEEEEEEESE!!! We're in Wisconsin!

We HAD to go to the Mars Cheese Castle for lunch. Not even a question.

Yes, it's a real castle! No, it's not made of cheese.

Cheese

Cheesehead

Castle Wall (Stephanie can NEVER resist a Styx reference.)

Todd wondered if "Ave" is Kanye and Kim's kid's middle name. He's not proud of thinking that.

Slinger in the sky

Where cheese comes from. Moo!

How cheese gets to you!

B'Gosh!

All things

Bean Snappers.

Looks like complete nutrition to us!

There's a grill in the hotel parking lot.

OK

This is the parking lot of the ballpark. People are tailgating. They do not mess around!

Hot coals receptacle and bathrooms for the tailgaters

Bratzooka

Hi Peoria! We just saw you guys at home!

We are in the clear.

Timber Rattlers car

And a band!

We're in Appleton, WI to see the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (A for the Brewers) play the Peoria Chiefs (A for the Cardinals).

CHEEEEEEEESE!

The field

Again, these folk do not mess around! They're throwing (albeit tiny) TIRES at the fans?

The "Play Ball" kid

It's raining. Fans in Wisconsin are hardy folks. They're the ones who sit at the football games when it's 20 below. Rain? Feh.

Green Bay Vodka

We missed the t-shirt giveaway. :-(

Here it is!

Timber Rattlers win!

And more fireworks!

Because we're in Appleton, and Appleton just won the great honor of being named "America's Drunkest City," we had to go out and celebrate. Someone had crocheted Pac Man on the fence outside the bar.

The bar we patronized, on the recommendation of the guy at the front desk of the hotel.

When in Wisconsin we had to play some great Brooklyn music! All hail The Heaves!

Hi Chris! Thanks for the fun (and the t-shirt!)!

OK, THIS is the part of the trip that Stephanie had designated as the high point. It did not fall short! Thanks Appleton!
